THE PUPILS OF GYMNASIA N 2 ARE SPEAKING ABOUT THEIR RELATIVES:
Dmitriy Leshchuk:
- My great-grandfather Anton Antonovich Matkovich was quite a young guy when the war started. He was 17. He was a signalman. He reached Berlin. He was awarded the medals for his bravery. One of these medals found him after his death.
- My great-grandmother Valentina Vlasovna Matkovich was caught and brought by fascists to the concentration camp in Germany. Being in prison badly affected her health. She died at the age of 62 years. I am proud of my great-grandparents.
