Круг творчества

 

 -I’ve got a great-grandmother. Her name’s Valentina Lavrentyevna Kozlovskaya. She lives in the village of Luchniki in Slutsk district. She was born on the 27th of December 1929. She worked as a cook for 36 years and makes very tasty things.

 

She got a sister and a brother: Mariya Lavrentyevna Ambrazhevich and Leonid Lavrentyevich Ambrazhevich who was born on the 30th of October 1924. In 1943 Leonid went to the army to fight against the fascists. He was a machine-gunner. On the territory of Poland he was wounded by a splinter and got to a hospital.

 

In 1945 my great-grandfather returned home and worked as a driver. He had a lot of awards, for example a medal "For bravery”. In 2003 on April 30th he died at the age of 78. I don’t remember him because I was very little at that time but my great-grandmother told me he was very kind and loved children. He didn’t like to speak about the war – it was very difficult to recollect those hard years full of death and people’s grief.
