- My great-grandmother Valentina Antonovna Korotova was born on the 11th of August 1923 in Moscow. Before the war she worked in the bakery of the Kremlin. In 1942 году, when the girl was 18, she got a notice: she was called out for the service in the air forces in Kazan. She served in the rear where she did the maintenance of the military air crafts. During the war she got a military rank of private first class (ефрейтор). She learnt a lot during those difficult years. There she met her future husband Nikolai Trofimovich Rusak. In 1946 they moved to Belarus where my Granny lives nowadays.
